Havant Borough Council bulky-item collection
The council’s paid service is for residents’ household items collected from outside the home. Items must be accessible by 7am and crews do not enter the property. The published exclusions include trade waste, refurbishment waste, rubble, soil and garden waste. Damaged upholstered furniture has additional preparation requirements.

Havant Household Waste Recycling Centre
The Havant HWRC is at Harts Farm Way, PO9 1HS, and requires an appointment. Check Hampshire County Council’s Havant recycling-centre page for current opening times and accepted materials. For a van, pick-up or trailer, check the vehicle permit rules before travelling.

Could usable furniture be donated?
Good-condition items may have a reuse route, but acceptance depends on the organisation and the item. Ask about condition requirements and collection arrangements before assuming everything can be donated. Keep donation items separate from the clearance load until arrangements are confirmed.
When a private quote may help
Consider a quote when there are multiple rooms to empty, heavy items you cannot safely move, awkward access or a property deadline. Describe the full job so the provider can say which materials and services are in scope. Do not assume that speed, cleaning or dismantling is included.
